How to get to Alexandria You can get to Alexandria through one of many routes as follows: 1. By air, either to: Alexandria International Airport, or Cairo International Airport, and from Cairo to Alexandria you might use one of the following: ***Domestic airlines ***Private cars "rental", buses or limousines, in which you might drive into the desert road or the agricultural road, which are both paved roads. The destination between Cairo and Alexandria is about 220km, and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours driving time. ***Railways; as there is a railway network available that connects the city of Alexandria with all other governorates of Egypt. 2. Maritime transportation.
